Job Description
Eaton’s Corporate Function is currently seeking a Compensation Compliance Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Beachwood facility. Responsibilities: Facilitate the development and deployment of Eaton’s global pay equity analysis approach by leveraging existing US practices and the support of internal and external legal counsel and regional compensation professionals. Support the development and implementation of a communication strategy to appropriately disseminate pay equity-related messages both inside and outside the organization. Create and deploy a sustainable strategy as well as processes and tools to ensure internal pay practices are compliant with legislative requirements. Partner with internal and external legal counsel and employee relations to identify risk factors and develop and deploy mitigation strategies. Focus areas include but are not limited to pay administration compliance (e.g., anti-trust, FLSA, EEO/AAP compensation support, federal, state and local requirements, etc.,) and pay transparency. Facilitate the compensation-related components of environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives (e.g., global living wage, etc.). Ensure compensation policies, programs and practices are reviewed and amended as needed based on external changes (e.g., laws and legislation) and/or internal processes and practices. Develop and manage US pay standards. Partner with sector/group compensation and employee relations to ensure consistent site assessments and pay policy deployment as agreed. Ensure that US pay standards are considered for implementation during all US union negotiations. Partner with Time & Labor and Payroll CoEs to monitor and manage pay compliance. Support regional and country pay policy standardization to ensure internal practices meet Eaton’s total rewards philosophy as well as external legislative requirements. Support the development and deployment of approved region and country-specific pay policies. Serve as primary Compensation CoE support on pay compliance-related projects, investigations and remediation initiatives. Facilitate the development of education and change management activities supporting pay equity and pay compliance initiatives. Proactively monitor and leverage industry leading pay compliance and pay equity practices and evolve Eaton’s policies and practices accordingly. Lead and/or contribute to other compensation projects as assigned. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree Minimum of 12 years of professional hands-on experience in Human Resources Highly developed analytical skills Facilitation and project management experience Influence, negotiation and consultative skills Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree Strong working knowledge of compensation laws and regulations Experience with compensation programs and process Global experience Strong presentation skills; can speak across various forums and communicate to broad, diverse audiences We make what matters work.
