Eaton’s Corporate Sector is currently seeking a Manager, Corporate Development & Planning to join our team. This position is based at our Corporate Headquarters in Beachwood, Ohio. Relocation assistance will be provided. Since 2019, this team has made 12 acquisitions and deployed nearly $7B while simultaneously divesting 4 businesses for nearly $5B. These transactions have reshaped our portfolio and positioned Eaton for higher growth, higher margins, and more consistent earnings. Position Overview: The primary function of this position is to lead or significantly contribute to our strategic planning projects and M&A processes. This position will lead or assist strategic planning projects, assess strategic attractiveness of M&A opportunities and work with sectors to develop strategic rationale for M&A. These activities shape some of the company’s biggest decisions and require thought leadership and strong financial acumen, strategic thinking, and communication skills. Essential Responsibilities: Manages elements of Eaton’s acquisition / divestiture opportunities Prepares detailed valuations for acquisition / divestiture opportunities Manages due diligence efforts across corporate functional and business operating teams Develops accurate and efficient financial models for valuations, benchmarking, and planning purposes Develops materials for internal reviews, board reviews, and investor communications related to acquisition / divestiture opportunities; presents materials to some audiences Supports and participates in contract negotiations as necessary Supports transition plan to the integration team Manages or supports the development of elements strategic planning projects. Qualifications Required Qualifications: MBA from an accredited institution Minimum two years post-MBA experience in corporate development or corporate strategy Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship Preferred qualifications: Top tier MBA strongly preferred 8 years or more of professional work experience Position Criteria: Demonstrated track record of project leadership skills and experience in driving corporate development or corporate strategy projects Strong and adaptable professional presence including experience and comfort with informal discussions and more formals presentations to senior leadership Demonstrated ability to complete complex financial analysis and deep working knowledge of valuation models and methodologies Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams including junior level and senior level executives Demonstrated advanced strategic agility and business acumen Well-developed written and verbal communications skills Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills Eaton considers qualified applicants regardless of criminal histories, consistent with local laws.
