This position will be responsible for managing a Shanghai-based Corporate Cost Accounting team supporting Worldwide Cost Accounting and Planning.  The Manager is responsible to ensure timely, accurate and efficient accounting, reporting, controls and transaction process are in place. 

• Direct and oversee the day-to-day activities of the Shanghai-based Corporate Cost Accounting team including staff growth, continuous improvement and projects implementation
• Oversee monthly/quarterly managerial accounting and reporting responsibilities (including actual vs standard cost variance analysis; inventory valuation and petabyte tracking/analysis;  Business Unit cost allocation support and analysis)
• Oversee monthly/quarterly financial close and reporting responsibilities (including inventory controls and valuation; in-transit inventory and excess purchase commitment accruals; RMA reserves; warranty reserves; journal entry and account reconciliation review/approval; audit requests)
• Oversee daily worldwide Engineering Change Order (ECO) processes performed by Cost Accounting
• Work together with global process owners on process improvement to strive for best practice
• Effectively work and maintain key relationships with business area customers to ensure service requirements are met or exceeded for all areas of cost accounting and planning
• Ensure compliance with corporate SOX and key controls, adherence to US GAAP and other statutory requirements and support for audit requirements
• Developing and implementing process and ERP projects
• Establish and support of staff training program

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance with 7+ years finance and accounting experience
• CMA, CPA or Chartered Accountant
• Prior experience implementing and managing in a finance shared service center environment
• Experience with a publicly traded US Multi-National Company
• Best practices familiarity and benchmarking capabilities
• Strong ability to scale from transactional details to high level strategic thinking
• Deep familiarity with manufacturing and inventory processes as they relate to both managerial and financial accounting
• Excellent verbal and written English skills
• Experience with SAP Inventory and Cost modules
• Experience with Microsoft Office
• Previous experience with internal controls over financial reporting
• Previous experience managing implementation of technology and executing process improvements within the organization
• Experience managing and leading employees in a team environment
• Sound process orientation
• Proven results orientation
