Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Duty Engineering Manager is responsible for the management of the duty engineering team for the effective and efficient operation and maintenance of systems and equipment in the Galaxy Macau Resort and Casino responding to the needs of the business on a 24/7 shift rotation in support of operations in gaming, hotel, food & beverage and administration.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Operation and maintenance of the plant, systems, equipment duty team and contractor ensuring business continuity and the safety and comfort of our guests and team members are not compromised.
2. Manage and lead the duty engineering teams Supervisors and Senior Technicians providing continued support through shift meetings, on job training and effective shift handover.
3. Develop effective relationships within the Engineering and Facilities team and across the Galaxy Macau Business Units and Service Providers.
4. To comply with established policies and procedures of Galaxy Macau Resort and Casino.
5. Monitor the Building Management System on a 24/7 basis ensuring an accurate status of all systems and equipment is clearly understood with direct liaison with the 24/7 Security team for monitoring and response to critical alarms.
6. Active participant in the delivery of Galaxy Macau environmental initiatives for energy management and water saving initiatives.
7. Promote a culture of Workplace Health and Safety through training and effective daily communication with the teams and enforcement of related policy and procedure.
8. Maintain accurate records of shift records and maintenance activities and complete planned preventive maintenance schedules as detailed in engineering shift log.
9. Assist in the development and continual improvement of Standard Operating and Emergency procedures for engineering activities.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Formal qualification in an electrical, mechanical or engineering services discipline.
2. Experience in engineering operation and maintenance in a large casino and hotel facility.
3. Knowledge of energy management and Building Maintenance System (BMS) Strategies.
4. Possession of EMSD Electrical Worker Certificate Grade C/H desirable.
5. Team spirit, cooperation and “CAN DO” attitude.
6. Proficient in the Microsoft Suite of Applications.
