Abbott Corporate Finance is looking for a

Manager Entity Controlling & Accounting (m/f/d)

as Assistant Entity Controller (internal title) based in Wiesbaden.

Reporting to the Sr. Manager Entity Controlling, responsible for the accounting results of the assigned legal entity/ies including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an GoB compliant system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with US GAAP and local German GAAP (HGB).

Main Responsibilities:

• Assist in the management of outsourced functions and hub service providers for assigned entity
• Oversee the quality of the accounting provided by outsourcer and hub-shared service organizations including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives
• Develop and maintain analytical methods for the controlling of outsourcer and hub shared service providers
• Coordinate team members, as applicable, in the provision of entity controlling activities
• Act as point of contact for assigned entity regarding internal and external audits
• Act as point of contact for all divisions operating within assigned entity
• Manage all financial reporting-related master data management requests from corporate for the respective entity
• Support the quarterly and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely US GAAP and HGB (annual only) reporting.
• Assist in the Entity Plan preparation as instructed by corporate (as applicable)
• Process improvements across divisions, and service providers
• Cross-divisional project management

Your Profile:

• University or equivalent Finance degree with a focus on accounting and controlling, CPA or European equivalent, preferred
• Several years of experience in accounting in an international company
• Strong US GAAP and HGB accounting knowledge and skills
• Experience with close processes for quarterly and year-end
• Experience in consolidation matters would be an advantage
• SAP ECC 6 experience in the FI/CO modules
• Strong PC skills in Excel and MS Office
• Fluent in English and German
• Results- and goal-oriented
• Hands-on and self-starter mentality
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Flexibility and willingness to take on challenges
• Excellent financial analysis skills
