Job Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION: 1. State the primary function or overall purpose of your position. The Manager will lead Electrical North America for FP&A support and will work collaboratively with finance, accounting, business operations and senior management with Segment of Regional Finance team. The supervisor will be responsible for leading team, provide guidance, expand business, manage transition, regular connect with customer, standardize reporting, generate efficiency, manage escalation etc. . This position would be a supervisory role directly reporting to Process Lead FP&A COE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Limit yourself to 8-12 statements) 2. List the essential functions (i.e. key responsibilities with expected end results), which must be accomplished to fulfill the purpose of your position as described above. A. The supervisory has the responsibility to ensure- Digital Mindset Develop and administer analytical tools (Access database, Power BI back-end data, ERP SQL queries, etc) to produce meaningful data that can help assess business performance and facilitate decision making Work with different internal Eaton subject-matter-experts to develop and deploy Reporting Dashboards for Financial as well as Non-Financial Metrices using digital platforms like Power BI, Tableau, Oracle Cloud Solution Support deployment of Project Optimus (Planning Tool) CI Mindset Support and propose various initiatives to reduce complexity, standardize and improve efficiency of financial processes, leveraging GFSS tools and capabilities, drive automation Proactively seeks and acts in ways to positively promote and foster initiative in own team and other departments of the organization Functional Support Promotion of good financial stewardship by helping control costs, driving forecast accuracy, driving balance sheet integrity and ensuring proper controls are in place Coordinate, interpret and respond to ad hoc financial requests within the region Perform additional analyses as assigned Team Management Responsible for managing direct team through development of functional capability, and technical knowledge. Also, develop partnership with functional team (regular connect), ensure seamless support to plant controller through effective team management and back up planning. Monitors and analyses team’s work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy Responsible for performance evaluation of team members B. Work in the Global team environment directly supporting the NA Electrical Region and interacting with various business partners in the business locations across different functions C. Quality culture – Accuracy, Attention to Detail, and achieving deadlines are critical for success. Qualifications SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: Describe any specialized knowledge or skill (e.g., technical, scientific, administrative, managerial), which your position requires. Accounting major (B.Com) & CA/ICWA/CFA/MBA (Finance), preferable. Excellent Analytical skills to interpret financial data (business acumen) Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with MS-Office – particularly Excel, Power Point, Word, Access etc Experience in financial modelling in M&A and complex commercial tenders Experience in project and service business Strong on technical skills Experience is developing and maintaining Power BI solutions and business warehouse Expert Knowledge of SAP and BW Expert knowledge of Consolidation & Reporting Systems (Encore, Oracle Cloud, Hyperion planning, Essbase) 15+ years of FP&A and team management domain.
