Provide local leadership for a cross functional engineering and product development organization.
Promote the Bose corporate culture.
Model Bose essence and values.
Work closely with US and China functional management to build an effective global network.
Partner with corporate peers to drive functional excellence and share best practices.
Effectively communicate Bose strategic goals and business results to team.
Exhibit the ability to develop a thorough understanding and alignment with the business and product strategies of the consumer electronics product division.
Create and maintain a high performing organization with group-wide and individual goals that are aligned with corporate goals.
Manage all local engineering support functions including design assurance, product compliance, validation planning/testing, manufacturing engineering and CAE tools.
Oversee local engineering design activities in support of global program teams’ goals and objectives.
Shift and balance local engineering resource activities in alignment with global program teams based on overall business strategies and product roadmaps.
Manage team expense to budget.
Mentor team to think, decide, act, learn and grow.
Support individual career development

Academic/Professional Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering required
Working Experience:
- At least 10 years of product development experience and a minimum of 5 years (in a management position) with a global company in the consumer electronics, automotive, or telecom industry.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse and distributed product teams
- Experience as an influence leader in a highly matrixed organization. A passion for building strong relationships with other organizations is a must.
- Ability to operate locally but think globally.
- Good analytical, detailed and strategic critical thinking/process ability.
- Ability to define and leverage value creation at all levels of the organization.
- Understanding of how business success measures are affected by engineering decisions
