Responsibilities:

• Assist the regional leader in establishing and improving of policies, systems, programs and initiatives to ensure compliance with relevant local standards as well as the requirements of Health & Safety Management System
• Review and develop the associated procedures / guidelines for the region
• Plan, implement, supervise and monitor the health & safety plan and programmes
• Conduct regular audit / inspection for office and site to identify areas of improvement, develop and implement appropriate action according to the required standards
• Handle incident, investigation and provide recommendations for improvement
• Provide advice and technical supports in health and safety functions across the region
• Provide in-house health & safety related trainings
• Keep up to date with the relevant health & safety related work legislation and communicate the changes to relevant business units to ensure compliance with statutory, contractual and company health & safety requirements
• Occasional business travel is required

Qualifications & Experience required:

• Degree in Engineering, Health & Safety Management, Occupational Safety, Health & Environment or equivalent
• At least 10 years of working experience with minimum 5 years in managing the implementation and processes of Environment, Health & Safety Management System and preferably in engineering and with profound knowledge and experience in safety
• Membership of relevant professional institution such as Registered Safety Officer /Registered Safety Auditor of Labour Department
• Experience with safety inspection / auditing with construction / building projects
• Familiar with ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 / ISO45001 audits
• Familiar with local safety regulation
• Self-motivated, independent and able to work under pressure
• Proficient in PC skills including MS Office, SharePoint
• Good analytical, interpersonal and communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese. Good Putonghua is an advantage
