Eaton’s Corporate Sector is currently seeking a Manager, IT Asset Management Process Owner to join our Strategy and Process Execution Center of Excellence (SPECOE) team. Join Eaton’s Information Technology team and help positively impact our business through leading technologies, exciting and challenging enterprise projects and new platforms. The Manager, IT Asset Management Process Owner is responsible for: Owning the strategic development and direction for standard Global IT Asset Management Processes, and develops, maintains, governs, monitors and continuously improves all aspects of that process, including the management of Software and Hardware assets. The individual will have direct day-to-day management responsibility for a team of IT Asset Management process support personnel, and will conduct performance reviews, establish goals and development plans, and provided direction to staff as required. The role includes indirect management and oversight of the various organizational areas that execute the processes for various asset classes. This position also is a key liaison with supply chain, IT Vendor and Purchasing Management, Legal, ITSM and other process owners. This role includes responsibility for the management of IT hardware and software asset spending, including reporting and analysis to optimize spending and identify opportunities for cost savings. In this role you will: Own the strategic development and direction of the Asset Management Process and actively governs based on customer feedback, stakeholder input, and process metrics to ensure Eaton IT’s effectiveness in meeting customers’ expectations. Manage lease schedules, invoicing, chargebacks and returns of Server and Workstation hardware. Actively manage license utilization; identify opportunities to reclaim licenses to reduce or minimize software spend and ensure license compliance. In partnership with Eaton’s Global Financial Services and Systems team, ensure leased assets are represented accurately with Lease Accelerator, Eaton’s strategic financial leasing service. Provide management and leadership to team members by providing ongoing mentoring/coaching to staff, facilitating activities to further employee engagement and development, and conducting performance reviews. (global direct reports) Manage software licenses, global licensing pools, software compliance activities, and take the lead on supplier audit requests. Create and execute Management reports; review and analyze reports to identify performance strengths and focus areas for process improvement and greater overall efficiency. Review and disposition requests for process or tool changes or enhancements; develop requirements, test and validate changes. Create and maintain process documentation that enables users to consistently perform the process and use as reference. Documentation may consist of and/or feed training documentation. Ensure documentation is kept up to date on a regular cadence. Develop training curriculum and ensure training is provided to all roles involved in the process. Ensure training is systemic and new process participants are identified and trained in a timely manner. Continually seek ways to improve the processes through regular engagement with stakeholder groups and customers, and develop strategies for addressing issues, enhancing service levels, and process improvement, design, redesign. Collaborate with other ITSM Process owners to ensure alignment with other processes. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution Minimum 10 years’ IT, Computer Science or Finance experience Minimum 5 years of experience in IT Service Management, with understanding of Enterprise IT environment, infrastructure, asset management and financial processes related to software and hardware purchasing, leasing, and management. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of 50 miles will be considered. Preferred Qualifications: ServiceNow asset management user experience (or equivalent industry tool) Experience in other ITSM Process areas ITIL v4 Foundation or greater Certification Position Criteria: Expert knowledge of ITIL Processes. Demonstrated competence in ITIL Process Management. Excellent business and analytical skill for complex problem solving, demonstrated ability to understand business problems and to use analytical skills to research and resolve. Excellent analysis and documentation skills. Ability to critically assess information for relevance, accuracy and feasibility. Aptitude to learn new technologies We make what matters work.
