Manager, In-Room Dining & Minibar

What you will be doing:

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
• Lead and coach the In-Room Dining, Minibar, and Pool Deck teams
• Manage the day-to-day operations
• Daily tasks to include but not limited to: effective scheduling, planning, forecasting, ordering
• Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction
• Recruit and monitor the performance of team members
• Work with other F&B leaders to ensure smooth operations
• Assist team members in day-to-day tasks
• Monitor and audit service standards
• Flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
• Have full knowledge of beverage lists, promotions, menu items, contents, and preparation methods
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverages
• Adhere to payment and cash handling procedures
• Other duties as assigned

 

Your experience and skills include:

• College Degree, preferably in hospitality or equivalent vocational training certificate
• Previous leadership and Food Service industry experience required
• Previous point of sale system experience
• Previous experience in luxury setting an asset
• Knowledge of F&B cost controls
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Highly responsible & reliable
• Food handler & TABC certifications required
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

 

Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to:

• Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas
• Reach 1-2 feet
• Remain in stationary position for up to 2 hours throughout work shift
• Constant standing and walking
• Exert physical effort in carrying items (up to 40 lbs) and pushing carts (30-50 lbs)
• Frequent lifting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling
• Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps

 

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in the United States. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining work authorization documents.
