Job Outputs:
Ensure labour and employee relations stability through effective labour strategies and risk management.
Develop strategy for reducing identified risks and ensure/manage solution implementation.
Lead and Facilitate the conclusion of agreements between management and labour, ensuring that such agreements are within the scope of relevant collective agreements and Labour Legislation.
Design, develop and implement relevant employee relations interventions.
Ensure BMW is represented on all matters relating to internal union negotiations, Industry collective bargaining and agreements.
Oversee adherence/compliance to agreements both from a company and labour perspective.
Ensure all negotiations and agreements are in compliance with legislation and collective bargaining processes.
Research, interpret and advise on compliance requirements, in relation to employee relations, included in statutory legislation and national policy framework as well as company policies prepared within the company.
Review, develop and implement approved plans, strategic intent and interventions supporting changes to current and/ or opportunities for improvements to HR Guidelines and procedural applications.
Actively participate in regional Trade union and Employee Relations forums and committee’s etc. with the intend to lead internal BMW discussion on the implementation of regional and national employee relations strategies.
Analyse the impact and support Human Resource Management on statutory requirements and processes relating to organisational restructuring.
Actively analyse and research the market to identify potential and imminent risks to the company’s employee relations.
Analyse the relevant markets and proactively identify potential risk areas that could negatively impact the company’s employee relations.
Review employee relations interventions and re-design to ensure optimum impact that will ensure stability within areas of responsibility
The successful incumbent will initiate, develop, align and monitor interventions/plans in the sphere of employee relations in order to establish a strategic approach, that will ensure an employee relations climate that is fair and consistent in its Human Resources Management application.Minimum requirements:
- B Degree/ B Honours degree in Industrial Relations / Labour Law
- 8 – 10 years’ experience in the Employee Relations field of which at least 3 years strategic employee relations management proven experience.
- 3 years’ experience within a senior manager position
- Sound knowledge of labour and employee relations
