We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Information Technology Department for serving the HKMC Group.

Job Descriptions:

• To lead a small team of professionals to carry out technical support services to attain the highest reliability and availability of the Corporate Unix and Oracle database environment;
• To maintain and support the Internet and firewall infrastructure;
• To provide technical support to the Oracle Internet application server, Weblogic application server, iPlanet Web server and LDAP server;
• To perform system monitoring and troubleshooting together with application teams and external vendors when needed;
• To plan and implement new infrastructure projects for Unix, Internet and Oracle environment;
• To communicate clearly and effectively with peers in other teams to properly and timely implement system changes;
• To participate in the BCP/DR drill to ensure the systems are recovered in a timely manner; and
• To maintain system and database technical documentation including inventory list and installation guidelines.

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Computer Science or equivalent;
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in the following areas:
  • Oracle Solaris hardware and operating system administration;
  • Oracle database administration and performance tuning;
  • Unix scripting via ksh, csh or perl;
• Experience in Firewall administration;
• Experience in Netbackup and Control_M to perform system backup and job scheduling work;
• Knowledge of Internet Proxy Server, F5 products (GTM, LTM and Link Controller), Oracle Weblogic, LDAP, Veritas Volume Manager and SAN Storage would be an advantage;
• Good documentation and communication skill; and
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
