This role will lead a team to perform various investment operations, monitoring and reporting for the organization’s pension funds, including ORSO, Macau, Agent Provident and JF funds. In addition, this role will manage the relationship with external service providers such as Fund Administrator, Custodian and Investment Manager, etc., and regularly evaluate their performance. He/she will also support in different automation, new fund launch and fund restructuring projects related to pension productsRoles and Responsibilities:
Major duties for this position
- Supervise the daily investment operations for the pension platform (trade order placement, valuation and reconciliation, etc.)
- Review regulatory reportings and ensure accuracy and timeliness of submission
- Review and sign off investment compliance monitoring performed by the team, such as position reconciliation, AMCM equity exposure monitoring, FX exposure monitoring and fund expense settlement
- Review statutory MPF ORSO filing (including Appendix 1), Macau AMCM reporting and other regulatory reporting prepared by the team
- Liase with external and internal auditors. Review financial statements for the funds
- Handle queries from SFC, AMCM and other regulators
- Manage the relationship with external service providers such as Fund Administrator, Custodian and Investment Manager. Conduct on-going monitoring on their performance
- Monitor and perform analytical review on cashflow, AUM, FER and other calculation metrics for the funds
- Regularly review operational and reporting process for the funds. Contribute process transformation and improvement initiatives for the ORSO, Macau and Agent Provident funds to improve efficiency
- Keep updated and assess impact on regulation updates
- Support automation, new fund launch/fund restructuring and other ad-hoc projects
Assigned tasks and projects
- ensure assigned tasks and projects are completed within planned schedule
External and internal audit
- Coordination of audit visits by external auditors and internal audit team and taking proper follow up actions on issues identified from the visits
Regular and regulatory reporting
- ensure regular investment reporting, regulatory returns and year end financial statements are being prepared accurately and submitted on a timely basis
Others:
- Assist in the implementation of new funds, process improvements and ad hoc projects
Minimum Job Requirements:
- University graduate, preferably major in business or finance related subject or equivalent
- CPA Qualification
- 6 years of relevant experience in investment accounting/fund operation (such as trade processing, settlements and valuation)
- Cooperative, responsible detail minded person with a positive attitude, able to manage stress and work in a fast paced environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in both spoken & written English & Chinese
- Proficiency in PC skills (MS Access & Excel)
- You are required to obtain the relevant license(s) if your job involves regulated activities
