Position Overview OEC Manager Siemens Large Drives Business Unit is looking for a multidimensional Manager to lead our OEC Team. Leads a team responsible for implementing sophisticated solution projects, systems projects, sophisticated customer service projects and product orders for our PFR Motor Orders (Purchase for Resale). Develop proposals for SO Minerals Solutions and support our systems proposal team by providing purchasing support for 3rd party buyouts assuring we have the best price, favorable terms that support our technical needs with required lead times. Responsible to manage projects budgets, developing and managing project timelines, and delivering the committed requirements to our customers. This team will include a dedicated systems engineering team that is responsible for integration of our VFDs into a system or solution; technical understanding of systems is helpful. Develop and supervise KPIs for change orders and implement measures to improve project margins. Leads the success of the OEC team and will be responsible to report the progress to management. They will be the “face” of the project to our customers throughout the project execution. Have a technical engineering background, so they can ask the right questions and participate in requirements analysis, design discussions, and execution of the project. Empower, challenge and lead the OEC team. We are looking for an upbeat, multifaceted, results driven individual with excellent communication skills, and motivation to “get things done". Responsibilities: You will lead and guide a multi-discipline team for project execution, proposal development and/or support to meet customer requirements, cost/budget targets and quality expectations to avoid NCC. You will collaborate with all aspects of Siemens internal teams and departments such as Sales, Operations Engineering, Production, Services, Global teams, etc… Customer interface during project execution Ensures that project and production requirements are met Leads the scope of work to ensure that all results are fulfilled on time and within budget Maintains and supervises project margin throughout project Develops sophisticated project/program plans Coordinates project communications internally and externally (reporting, correspondence, meetings, etc.) Forecasts (with team) and handles risks and opportunities Leads change orders Verifies, requests, and acquires customer acceptance of the system Maintains lessons learned throughout the entirety of the project Closes the project at completion and archives project files Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business or combined experience. Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of personalities Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time optimally Strong communication and presentation skills Strong leadership required, organizational change to assure integration of various team members Experience with Risk management - opportunities, risk mitigation, appropriate planning to reduce impact of potential risks etc Highly multifaceted, flexible and adaptable personality Ability to travel domestically and internationally on occasion Strong problem solving skills; Ability to learn quickly Consistent track record of completing projects on time, on budget, and satisfying all performance/quality requirements Proficient in MS Projects Experience with SAP Ability to lead multiple projects Strong focus on customer’s perspective when setting priorities and taking action; implementing service practices Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience 5-10 years of project management experience Experience managing project management teams or other technical teams Engineering or technical background Knowledge and experience w/ MV variable frequency drive systems At Siemens, we are committed to an ownership culture, in which every employee takes personal responsibility for our company’s success.
