Manager, PR & Communications
Supports the PR & Communications team in generating earned media raising the profile of Accor, the Group’s brands and hotels in North & Central America. Works with multi-disciplinary teams, at both the hub and hotel level, as well as external partners including agencies and vendors, to assist in developing, executing and maintaining PR plans, programs and campaigns.

What you will be doing:
- Manage high volume of media and influencer leads, including requests for stays, photography, quotes and interviews.
- Project manage PR initiatives, including events, press trips and media mailers.
- Draft PR materials, including press releases, pitches, fact sheets and award submissions.
- Support the North & Central America hotels in content review, editing and copywriting.
- Oversee creation of corporate, agency and brand editorial calendars, and manage collection and vetting of relevant content and creation of supporting press materials
- Maintain up-to-date PR content on the Accor North & Central America online press room, AccorLive employee Intranet, MAX owner portal, and Amplify social media channels.
- Maintain up-to-date awards tracker for Accor, brands and hotels.
- Oversee the implementation of global communications standards, templates and SOPS within the North & Central America region.
- Keep internal PR email distribution lists up-to-date.
- Routinely liaise with corporate PR and marketing teams, brands, properties and agencies, as it relates to Accor North & Central America PR activities, events and campaigns.
- Assist the team in demonstrating positive ROI on PR activities and programs, including press monitoring, reporting and analysis, along with management of corresponding tools, i.e. Cision, Burrelles and TVEyes.
- Assist the team in the creation of owner presentations and reports.
- Additional support projects as needed.
Your experience and skills include:
- Minimum of five to seven years of experience in public relations or corporate communications
- Strong communication skills, with an emphasis on writing and editing
- Experience working directly with top-tier national media
- Proven competency in project planning and management, as well as problem solving
- Highly organized, with strong attention to detail
- Able to work quickly and efficiently
- Flexible, resourceful and capable of handling multiple projects and tight deadlines effectively
- Self-motivated energetic team player, with excellent interpersonal skills and proven competency in relationship building
- Innovative and creative thinker
- Possess general office administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel, as well as Google docs
- Excellent command of the English language is a must and the ability to speak another language used within North America is desirable
- Degree from an accredited university in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism or a related field
- The following would be considered assets: experience in the travel and/or hospitality industry, preferably in a hotel, corporate or agency environment
Note: Must already be legally entitled to work in Canada or the US to be considered for this position

- Reporting to the Vice President, PR & Communications
- Option to be based in the Toronto, Canada hub headquarters or home-office based in an approved location in the US or Canada
