POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manager – Plant Operation is responsible for management of the Plant Operation Team for the operation & maintenance of Central Chiller Plants and Boiler Plants of Galaxy Macau to support the operations in gaming, hotel, retails, food & beverage and administration in terms of business continuity, legitimacy, guest comfort and cost-effectiveness.



PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Lead the Plant Operation Team in managing the operation and maintenance of Central Chiller Plants, Boiler Plants and associated equipment/ systems.
2. Assist Senior Manager – Plant Operation in development and reviewing of Standard Operation Procedures for routine Preventive Maintenance tasks & Emergency Services, Key Performance Index and Control Mechanism for optimization in plant/ equipment efficiency, output quality and utility consumptions and ensure strict conformity without compromising on customer satisfaction and Health, Safety & Environmental considerations.
3. Prepare contractual and technical proposals (e.g. specification, tender and contract) for effective execution and monitoring of engineering services/ works related to operation and maintenance of Central Chiller Plants, Boiler Plants and associated equipment/ systems.
4. Schedule planned Preventive/ Corrective Maintenance programs with reference to best industrial practice, technical development and Operation & Maintenance Manuals, and with the aid of Computerized Maintenance Management System.
5. Input data for the estimation and management of the operation and capital-investment budget for the operation and maintenance of Central Chiller Plants, Boiler Plants and associated equipment/ systems.
6. Allocate resources for the efficient and effective implementation of operation and maintenance of Central Chiller Plants, Boiler Plants and associated equipment/ systems.
7. Implement and report on engineering investigation, quality assurance scheme, risk management plan and technical analysis related to Central Chiller Plants, Boiler Plants and associated equipment/ systems.
8. Develop effective relationships within engineering teams and across the Galaxy Macau business units and service providers in compliance with approved policies and procedures of Galaxy Macau.
9. Promote a good culture of Workplace Health & Safety and continual development of team members through training, standard operation procedures and effective daily communication.


REQUIREMENTS:
1. Experienced in operation and maintenance of centrifugal liquid chillers/ heat pump chillers/ oil-fired boiler plant/ pumps;
2. Background in Building Services/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Engineering.
3. Holder of a Bachelor’s Degree or above in relevant engineering disciplines plus at least 10 years relevant working experience among which 5 years at managerial level.
4. Preferably with membership of relevant professional bodies.
5. Mature, helpful and pleasant characters with strong leadership skill, good communication technique, proactive & positive manner, team-player spirit, result-oriented mind-set, uncompromised integrity and “CAN DO” attitude.
6. Fluent in both writing and verbal communication in Chinese (Cantonese/ Putonghua) and English.
7. Exposure in hotel/ hospitality industry is preferred.
8. Proficiency in energy and environmental service management.
