You will be responsible for:
- leading a procurement category team in providing professional advice on the category planning and strategy formulation for specific categories and to achieve business goals and objectives;
- planning, developing and executing strategic sourcing activities through coordination with stakeholders, designing appropriate sourcing strategies and procurement methods in the best overall interest of the Authority;
- managing and monitoring cross-functional strategic procurement initiatives to drive supplier consolidation and spend efficiency;
- overseeing procurement activities to ensure that the Authority’s procurement policy and procedures are implemented and adhered to;
- reviewing, formulating and implementing internal control, documentation, reporting, ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) System and supplier management systems to maintain process integrity and compliance in accordance with the Authority’s policies; and
- streamlining and enhancing procurement operating practices and conducting internal procurement-related training courses to update on the leading procurement practices.
You should:
- possess a recognised university degree in purchasing and supply chain management, business management or equivalent;
- have 10 years of experience in procurement, tendering and vendor management function, preferably 5 years at managerial capacity gained from multinational or sizable organisations (experience in IT categories and/or in arts-and-cultural industry would be an advantage);
- have a proven track record in developing and implementing procurement strategies, policies and guidelines and cost management initiatives;
- possess solid experience in procurement management and in the setting up of the procurement operations;
- preferably have the membership of procurement/supply chain/logistics professional body;
- have strong leadership and demonstrated stakeholder management skills and teamwork; and
- be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.
