As Procurement/Sourcing Manager, you will manage overall site procurement and support related operations, ensure communication and reporting for the site, with a strong focus on efficiency to cut procurement expenses, while supporting Site On Time Delivery and Right First Time KPIs. You will partner with Supply Chain, Enginnering, Quality and Business Management to ensure site projects are fully supported.

SPECIFIC ASSIGNMENTS/PRIMARY ACTIVITY:

• Devise and use fruitful sourcing strategies (SSMF Methodology)
• Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships
• Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
• Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services
• Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries
• Examine and test existing contracts
• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
• Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company
• Inspecting the levels of business supplies and raw material to identify shortages
• Participate to Site S&OP process enhancing the overall agility of the business to respond faster to changing business conditions, ensuring product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers or in ensuring strategic business and operational performance, goals are accomplished.

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field

• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
• Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market
• Good knowledge of supplier or third-party management software

• Proven working experience as a procurement manager or supply chain manager
• Eight years of materials management experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
• Previous management experience
• Fluent English and Italian

• Strong leadership capabilities and ability to inspire and foster innovation, collaboration, transparency and team effectiveness
• Analytical approach and strong decision making skills
