Entertainment One’s Family & Brands Division is now gearing up for the launch of its newest property, Ricky Zoom, a brand-new animated pre-school TV series from the producers of PJ Masks.

Position Summary

Reporting directly to the Licensing VP China, you will be responsible for Product development and product approval issues. You will use your experience to ensure the team work with licensee to develop products, archive good sales, whilst at the same time ensuring we stay true to the values of each property.

Responsibilities

  • Understanding brand strategy, DNA/values to develop, drive and deliver best in class product ranges against commercial objectives and key growth opportunities
  • Follow and identify relevant trends, in line with our Licensing and Retail strategy, to develop annual PD strategy
  • Work with the internal licensing team to help identify opportunities across the range of hard line and soft line
  • Work closely with Creative Services team to ensure commercial assets & needs are met and delivered in a timely manner according to seasonal deadlines. Input into core packaging design to align across all categories and market
  • Work with licensee to follow PD process, including licensee training, assets distribution and product approval
  • Contribution to commercial/product plans based on thorough understanding the competitive landscape (licensors, licensees, processes, industry) ensuring that we are considered as a business that strives to set the benchmark on Product Development. Continually monitor seasonal market and behaviour trends and share findings, analysis with commercial/PD team, helping to identify opportunities and gaps in the market

Key Competencies

  • Previous experience in Product Development from either a licensor or a licensee
  • Proven Brand Licensing experience - a good understanding of brand management a
  • Good experience in creative trend study and style guide development
  • Knowledge of manufacturing capabilities/processes and limitations, application of core packaging guidelines and print techniques and how they apply to products. Ability to identify and solve design/concept challenges
  • Ability to establish new and implement existing processes to drive efficiency
  • An excellent eye for/attention to detail
  • Fluent oral and written English skills
