Manager, Product Marketing – Construction

As a key leader of the Construction Product Marketing Team, you will report to the Director of Marketing Programs for Project Delivery. This role has the primary responsibility of managing a team of product marketing professionals tasked with driving dollars to pipeline and enabling sales to achieve new business growth targets for Bentley’s SYNCHRO construction management software products.

 

You will demonstrate all the skills of a top-notch product marketer, including being an excellent storyteller with the ability to translate complex technical details into clear, compelling, and memorable stories of customer value. You will be a strong leader who effectively develops, guides, and motivates the same skills from the team you manage.

 

You will dynamically lead your team as it works across the organization to develop an effective go-to-market strategy, crafting product and campaign positioning documents, creating and delivering presentations, sales training, and developing integrated campaigns design to increase pipeline. Your team will create and execute consistent messaging, content, and programs promoting the cloud services comprising Bentley’s SYNCHRO construction production line.  

 

As a pivotal leader of the team and product line evangelist, you will work closely to develop positive relationships with many other roles in the Marketing and Pre-sales teams, as well as Sales, Services, Product Management, and Executive Management teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of product marketing managers as direct reports, fostering a culture of learning, develop talent that supports strategic needs with focus on business outcomes
  • Lead and manage an extended cross-discipline team of marketing professionals including creative, web, writing, paid media, and engagement specialists
  • Work closely with product management and sales to intimately understand competitors, target markets, and buying personas, and ensure this information permeates SYNCHRO marketing
  • Partner with pre-sales, product management, and sales teams in the definition of product strategies and the specification of new products
  • Work closely with the product management team, as well as across the organization to develop clear and compelling value propositions that address customer needs and describe how our products will drive significantly better outcomes for our customers than our competition.
  • Create content and sales enablement tools that align to the buyer’s journey, including the first version of product datasheets, presentations, playbooks, white papers, demos, qualifying questions, blogs, webcasts, web content and other needle-moving sales enablement tools to enable sales and customer success to more easily and more quickly promote and drive adoption of our product portfolio
  • Go-to-market – develop best-in-class marketing strategy and launch plans; help generate product naming, campaigns, messaging, content and thought leadership in support of new releases and ongoing business
  • Brand – ensure all aspects of business are on brand, consistent, focused on customer outcomes, and employ best marketing practices
  • Project management – work with industry marketers, sales, customer success teams, and product managers to ensure initiatives and new releases are launched effectively and on-time
  • Demand generation – oversee and guide the planning, execution, and ongoing performance analysis of marketing campaigns, ensuring they are meeting sales pipeline generation goals
  • Manage budgets, deliverables and relationships in the execution of the global go-to-market plan and strategy across a broad marketing mix

 

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in successfully building and managing a high-performance team
  • Demonstrated experience successfully managing high-profile, complex, and fast-paced projects involving multiple disciplines, skill sets, and personalities
  • Dynamic and assertive leader, experienced in engaging with senior executives
  • Related degree in Marketing / Engineering field or 5+ years working in a position that requires AEC marketing domain knowledge, MBA an asset.
  • 5+ years of SaaS software marketing experience desired
  • Strong B-to-B experience and skills
  • Strong English writing, presentation, and communications skills required
  • Must be computer savvy, have the ability to multitask, prioritize, and work well under pressure in a team environment
