Eaton’s Industrial Control Division is currently seeking a Manager, Program & Portfolio Management to join our team. This position is located at our division headquarters in Menomonee Falls, WI. Relocation is offered along with a hybrid work schedule which consists of 3 days in the office & 2 days remote. Position Overview: This role has 3 main responsibilities: Program Manager: Responsible for leading projects through PROlaunch, driving resources at six design centers globally, to achieve on-time, on-cost, on quality launches of these two Variable Frequency Drive programs. This role will own all updates to senior management and are accountable for all project deliverables Division Management of Program Managers: Liaison for the division to the Project Management Office at the Electrical Sector-Americas level, and the Electrical Sector level. As such they will be required to contribute to sector and Americas level PMO practices. They will be responsible for cascading all information from PROlaunch and the PMOs to all project and program managers in ICD, as well as Marketing and Engineering Leaders coordinating training and division update when appropriate. Division and C&A GPL Portfolio Manager: Responsible for creating and driving monthly Portfolio Management Updates, Quarterly PROlaunch project reviews, and Top 5 reviews at the CPD and ES-A levels. This role will own PROpm and its contents for the division. Additionally, they will drive the waterline process for both the division and the GPL. In this function you will: Advanced understanding and demonstration of project management methodology and associated tools. Applies of state-of-the-art Project and Portfolio Management practices and tools (project start-ups, project planning, execution & tracking, etc.). Leads key / major ICD programs as the acting program manager Ensures proper PROLaunch execution including requirements management and systems engineering Provides input and improvements to Eaton’s project execution processes (Jama, Jira, PROLaunch, Project Reviews, etc.) Leads major project reporting sessions (Projects and Peer Reviews, quarterly divisional reviews, etc.) Manages direct and functional reports, conducts performance reviews, administers merit plan, oversees reward and recognition, and sets goals and development plans with direct and functional reports. Fosters, forms and manages truly cross-functional project teams Manages project resource across ICD: Promotes cross divisional resource exchange & utilization regardless of product line. Owns ICD’s NPD Portfolio Management & Prioritization (waterlining) process Communicates effectively and works closely with all levels of the organization, especially senior leadership to understand business priorities, processes, strategic objectives, and time/cost constraints. Captures and communicates lessons learned from current / past projects. Represents all program management and portfolio metrics to the Electrical Sector Americas and Electrical Sector Vice Presidents of Portfolio Management. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution Seven (7) years engineering or program management experience Two (2) years experience managing new product development (NPD) programs Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future Preferred qualifications: Experience managing people Experience with product development Experience leading large cross functional teams as part of development projects or programs Experience in developing, implementing and improving project and portfolio reports and tracking metrics Position Criteria: Proficiency managing people and resources to meet project accomplishments on schedule Cross boundary perspective to communicate and coordinate with other engineering managers, plant managers, product line managers and controllers Effective oral and written communication skills as well as planning and organizational skills.
