Job Description

(Salary: HK$49,000 - HK$56,000 per month, depending on qualification and experience)

Entry Requirements:
Candidates should have –
(a) a degree from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent, in either of the following discipline : (i) Business Administration/Marketing or (ii) Communications, Public Relations, Journalism [see Note (1) and (2)];
(b) at least six years of post-qualification experience in managerial positions in government or sizable public or private organisations. In particular, experience in the following fields would be an asset – (i) corporate communications and promotion; (ii) event management and/or (iii) project management [see Note (3)];
(c) good written communication skills in Chinese and English [see Note (4)] ; and
(d) strong problem solving, organisation and management skills and ability to work independently in a team [see Note (5)].
Note :
(1) Candidates should mark clearly on their application forms the major and minor subjects studied in their degree courses. Candidates possessing additional qualifications (e.g. a higher degree in a relevant subject) should include details in their applications.

Duties:
The Manager (Projects & Events) is mainly deployed to –
(a) assist a Senior Manager in planning, coordinating, implementing and monitoring major initiatives and campaigns;
(b) handle communications plan, promotional materials, press release and replies to enquires relating to initiatives/campaigns;
(c) manage dedicated website and/or administrative system relating to the initiatives/campaigns;
(d) provide secretariat support to committees or panels; and
(e) other relevant duties as assigned by senior officers.
Terms of Appointment: Successful applicant will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for 12 months.
Fringe Benefits:
(a) A gratuity may be granted if the contract is satisfactorily completed with a consistently high standard of performance and conduct. Such gratuity, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, may add up to 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.
(b) Rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), annual leave, maternity/paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.
