Eaton’s Santiago DR is currently seeking for a Manager Quality Manufacturing Process to join our team. Job Summary Effectively implement and maintain the quality management systems (ISO9001 and AS9100) with its documented procedures as a mean of ensuring product excellence and customer satisfaction. Plans, manages, and coordinates quality assurance activities. Tasks To responsibly administrate, coordinate and program actions and activities with others production and staff functions to reduce non-conformances, sorting, rework and scrap costs. To evaluate, implement and control with techniques for processes and products; using statistical analysis and inspection methodologies. To provide manufacturing engineering with the necessary information to evaluate machine and process capabilities. To notify team of non-conformances found on material from both internal and external suppliers from line processes and incoming inspections. To insure that materials requiring re-inspection (REINSP) due to either customer complaints and or process failures get identified, segregated evaluated and documented in a timely manner and to request dispositions through established non-conformance process. To chair the Material Review Board (MRB) and participate in all decisions taken and if necessary make these decisions independently. To initiate investigations and coordinate the implementation of corrective actions based on team oriented problem solving techniques and send responses to customers. To coordinate all activities to ensure that plant passes all customer assessment and respond in a timely manner to any deficiencies found by sending corrective action plans to customer as requested. To provide management with appropriate reports on the performance of the quality management system (QMS) and action plans for any performance that is below goal. To coordinate with human resources any training programs for inspectors, auditors, and quality engineers. To request deviations for non-conforming products from product or design engineering and provide data as needed to support deviation approval. To coordinate, execute and monitor the internal audits process insuring compliance with the quality management system (QMS) and its documented procedures. To receive and review product drawings, engineering change notice (ECN) submitted to document control unit (DCU) and for updating when applicable the inspection processes affected by these changes. To prepare inspection processes and documentation for products in the Dominican Republic (DR) plant. To coordinate quality engineering (QE) activities for first article inspections (FAIR) and ensure that FAIRs are completed in a timely manner per the QMS. To coordinate activities for Group A and B testing including samples and record filing. To prepare inspection processes and work instructions (QWI, QDI) needed for compliance with the quality management system (QMS) (ISO9001, AS9100) or customer requirements. To provide inspection records needed for certificate of compliance (CoC) when required by our customers. To maintain open communication with other departments like management, quality, production, logistics, engineering and warehouse and to function as part of a team. To prepare an annual budget for the quality department and monitor compliance. To work as the UL and CSA liaison as required. Special Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to read and write reports, business correspondence, and technical procedures in English. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from group managers, customers, etc. in English. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form. Qualifications Education & Qualifications Graduation from an accredited university with a B.S. Degree in engineering or related field. Five (3) to seven (7) years of experience in phases of quality assurance, including a thorough knowledge of statistical analysis, risk, sampling and designed experiments as related to quality control techniques.
