Job Description
Mellon Index is hiring a Reporting & Analytics Manager who will be responsible for technical and business deliverables in support of Mellon AUM, Salesforce, and client reporting needs. The role reports to the Mellon Index Chief Operating Officer and engages frequently with other leadership team members and cross-functional partners across the Mellon organization. Primary Responsibilities: Manages and provides direction to a team of business staff supporting a variety of data, reporting, and analytical needs across Mellon; high level of coordination with Technology and Middle Office divisions. Manages initiatives to analyze complex business problems to be solved with improved systems and workflow, providing enhancements and recommendations as needed. Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost-effective and meet user requirements; Works with business areas to identify opportunities for technical improvements within their scope of responsibilities. Recruits, directs, motivates and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth, and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team Ownership of Mellon AUM database and reporting associated with firm-wide AUM report creation and distribution including data validation and research to ensure data quality Delivers adhoc data, reporting and/or analytics to management and compliance related to Mellon accounts, clients, AUM, and other business factors. Provides frequent education on how to use and interpret the data Oversees and manages team members responsible for: Analysis, tracking, and logging of all most favored nation (MFN) and non-standard pricing arrangements and issues ; monitoring of MFN compliance Producing sub-advisory reporting (primarily in the compliance space) Supporting system enhancements, issues, user set-ups, complex reporting, licenses, and other user requirements pertaining to Mellon’s use of salesforce.com functionality Liaison for the nightly data transcription from BNY Retail instance of Salesforce.com into the Mellon instance of Salesforce.com Skills: Communication, time management, teamwork and organizational skills Strong technical acumen, data management, analytical and project management skills Function effectively in a high volume, rapid pace, deadline-oriented environment Advance Excel required including strong proficiency with complex pivot tables; Proficiency with Tableau or Power BI software is a plus Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred 5-7 years of total work experience and 0-1 years of management experience preferred.
