PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To ensure that AIDD meets its product availability goal to its customer, while meeting:
Inventory goals
Quality goals
Cost goals, and safety goals
Feasible Plant Load
Meeting Order Due Dates
Inventory Planning and Management
Inventory Control System deployment
Sourcing Materials
Vendor Contracts & Relations
Execution of work in compliance with AIDD and Divisional procedures and policies
Ensuring a safe work environment
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
To agree with European Demand Planning (EDP), and remaining affiliates on feasible plant load
To use the plant load for:
Inventory Planning in the Business updates
Inventory Control System demand
Using ERP generate:
Planned orders and firm planned orders
Shop-orders as per dispatch lists
Purchase orders
To co-ordinate final production schedule based on priorities, available materials and resources
Maintaining settings/parameters in the ERP
Using the ERP to manage potential distressed inventory, and to generate MDO request forms
To generate and review planning and inventory reports
Issue Production Monitoring reports to AIDD, Wiesbaden and Lake County on a weekly and monthly basis, incl. updated pipeline analyses and input to the critical supply items
Main interface to EDP and AIDD Management
To use the forecasted requirements for:
Securing capacity with suppliers
Negotiating prices with third party vendors
Setting up Contractual Agreements with third party vendors
Inventory planning in the Business updates
Identifying alternative vendors based on cost savings and/or opportunities to improve business performance
Using the Inventory Control System to generate Purchase orders
To generate and review purchasing and inventory reports
Pipeline analysis/critical suppliers
General
Maintain close liaison and co-operation with all other departments, affiliates and staff within the organization who are associated with the materials/production operation in AIDD in order to optimize the plants operations
Ensure that area procedures are in compliance with the requirements of ADD Policy and appropriate regulatory standards
Ensure adequate training and development of the planning staff by good communication and identifying actual training needs
Ensuring safety standards are met and safe working-practices adhered to
Maintain high standard in housekeeping, GMP and Safety
Complete all activities in a safer manner ensuring that any potential safety issues and areas for improvement are addressed
Optimise the use of human resources by encouraging an atmosphere of involvement, open communication and effective teamwork
Ensure Environmental procedures eg recycling, waste minimization are adhered to and improvements made where possible
Ensure that the plant meets the quality requirements of its customers, ADD, ISO/EN Auditors and other external agencies by ensuring adherence to and implementation of required procedures and activities
On an annual basis complete performance reviews and development plans for reports. Maintain a positive attendance management procedure

Appropriate qualification in either Production Planning e.g. Diploma in Purchasing or relevant APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) examinations or
General Degree with relevant Manufacturing experience
