Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Manager, Talent Management, China to be based in Shanghai office.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the wider HR community at regional and international levels to plan, integrate and drive global/regional Talent Management (TM) initiatives in the local context

  • Closely partner with the global Talent Management CoE to ensure alignment with global programs and activities

  • Connect with the PRC management and HR Partners to understand the business needs; effectively consult and advise as a functional expert to be the key local resource on Talent Management related initiatives

  • Identify and evaluate employee development needs. Design, develop, and deliver TM initiatives/programs to facilitate the growth and development of our employees

  • Prioritize TM projects and resources based on alignment with strategic plan and business needs. Manage the quality and cost-effectiveness of in-house and external development programs in PRC.

  • Review and evaluate existing TM practices within PRC; identify challenges and opportunities to improve employee engagement, development, retention, performance, and career management in view of meeting the changing business needs and strategy of the organization

  • Manage end-to-end processes of HR initiatives roll-out e.g., our Performance Management process, and other ad hoc projects or duties as needed

  • Maintain knowledge of new methods, practices and technologies for learning and development applicable to the organization and/or industry

  • Leverage systems and tools to gain insights on the progress and effectiveness of respective TM initiatives in line with organizational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal & compliance, environmental/social policies, and general duty of care

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Minimum 10 years of HR experience in Talent Management / Organization Development, HR, project management or consulting.

  • Hands-on experience with training design, processes, and facilitation delivery to large groups at all levels

  • Good knowledge of talent management and succession planning methodologies

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a relationship builder with a stakeholder mindset

  • Comfortable using data and able to turn data into insights, to drive Talent Management priorities

  • Self-driven with a sense of ownership in own performance and its impact on company’s success

  • Strong organization skills, result-driven with agile thinking and high level of ethics and integrity

  • Good team player who enjoys working collaboratively with people in a matrix organization

  • A global mindset – an understanding of how to bring global thinking to the local region

  • Work well under pressure, demonstrate resilience and ability to deal with conflicting priorities and tight schedules

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Experience with Workday would be a plus.

  • Fluent in both Chinese and English
