Job Description
Position Summary Acting as a Deputy Manager, you will contribute to maintaining and strengthening the depositary bank monitoring program while developing controls, on boarding new clients, building strong client relationships, reviewing processes and procedures, sharing best practices and regulatory updates across the depositary bank. Duties Act as a Deputy to the Manager of the team responsible for building strong client relationships and delivering client service excellence Take part in Client Meetings with prospective clients and oversee the on-boarding of new clients, establishing the relationships from a depositary perspective Liaising with clients in respect of due diligence requests both on third parties and on the depositary Reviewing of Real Estate and Private Equity transactions Attending Board Meeting and Client Service review calls, ensuring client focus and client service excellence is delivered Interact with Clients, service providers, counterparties and Auditors to build and maintain strong relationships Support the implementation of new business or products Follow, and enhance the procedures and controls designed to ensure activity is performed according to regulatory requirements Pro-active participation in team meetings and providing training to other team members Identify and implement Client specific value added controls Work with colleagues, including those within the outsourcing model, to ensure timely and accurate completion of reporting Qualifications University degree. Preferably Business administration, Law, or similar subject. Any additional qualifications in financial markets will be a plus. (Masters, Diploma, etc) 5 years of experience in the Fund Industry is required – experience in client services is essential Excellent knowledge in Real Estate and Private Equity Attention to detail, motivation and willing to learn and make a career in financial services Perfect command of English. Any additional languages would be considered as an advantage Proficient command of Microsoft Office Basic knowledge of laws and regulations and of the custody and accounting principles applicable to funds. Strong analytical, communication and organization skills (both verbal and written) Ability to deal with different custody and fund administration systems. Process Improvement experiences/ LEAN skills e.g. to design/establish new detailed processes, documentation skills, e.g. procedures/manual Ability to analyse data, understand trends and develop recommendations for action based on the analysis; Proven analytical and problem solving skills; Ability to identify logical and innovative solutions to complex problems; Self-motivated, innovative and analytical; Possess good understanding of data migration, testing and reconciliations BNY Mellon is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
