Eaton is hiring a Manager U.S. Medical Benefits to support our Corporate division. This position is based at our Beachwood, OH or Moon Township, PA location, candidates must be located within 50 miles of these locations to be considered. Relocation will be offered to our Beachwood, OH location. Position Overview: The Manager U.S. Medical Benefits is responsible for supporting Eaton's Medical Benefits programs that cover 25K US employees. The position reports to the Director of U.S. Medical Benefits and is a key contributor to the Total Rewards function. The position combines both strategic and operational objectives with the ability to lead projects from conception to implementation. This position will support M&A benefits integration projects; lead benefits RFPs including audits; evaluate strategic projects and work with underwriting to perform return on investment analyses; provide subject matter expertise during union negotiations; write plan documents for US benefits programs; negotiate contracts with vendors; and develop communications for diverse audiences. In this function you will: Serve as a benefits SME to both internal and external stakeholders Manage benefits vendor partners including medical, dental, vision, and spending accounts Monitor metrics and ROI benchmarks for medical plan, including health care trend in the US Coordinate analytics vendors and health care actuaries to develop analytics goals, and programs for employee interface Formulate opportunities for improvement in medical plan design, including pricing, high cost claims management, and chronic condition mitigation Ensure coordination between data warehouse and employee outreach vendors Serve as a lead data analyst to all businesses for medical plan metrics Work with groups to cross-pollinate wellbeing outreach Maintain knowledge base on clinical trends and issues Lead US vendor integration efforts ensuring appropriate metrics, dataflows, contracting and PG’s are in place Help develop communication material to highlight benefit programs and for Annual Enrollment Ensure plan compliance with regulations including: HIPAA, ERISA, ACA, section 125 Why work at Eaton? Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution Minimum of 7 years of benefits experience Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future. Preferred qualifications: Advanced degree preferred. Position Criteria: Medical plan experience including data and clinical analysis Able to use Excel for analysis of trends Experience in project management and budgeting (including use of project management tools such as MS Project) Familiarity with healthcare claims; past experience with IBM/Truven or similar evaluations tools a plus Good communications skills, written and verbal Partner and communicate effectively with a broad range of employees from factory workers to senior management Multi-task various simultaneous projects and activities Effectively managed previous multi-discipline efforts and cross vendor work Ability to Medical plan experience including data and clinical analysis Influence key stakeholders and build trust throughout the organization We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
