Eaton is currently seeking a Manager of University Relations to join our team. This position is based at our Corporate Headquarters in Beachwood, OH. Relocation assistance is provided. Position Overview: The manager of University Relations reports directly to the VP of Learning and Culture at Eaton and has responsibility for developing and implementing all university related activities that directly support our development, direct hire, intern, and co-op programs. This individual will also oversee the cultivation of relationships with program managers, campus partners, student groups, key external vendors, and key internal stakeholders. In this role, you will: Consult and collaborate to develop and execute a comprehensive campus strategy in order to achieve hiring goals for various programs Partner with and support other leaders in various projects / initiatives to identify cost savings and enhance performance across early talent programs; Identify and lead efforts to improve operational efficiency Partner with HR/functional leaders to gather customer input and communicate UR objectives and results Lead efforts to explore and innovate recruitment approaches and models for the future through external benchmarking and internal discussion Directly manage the North America University Relations team, including coaching, providing feedback and support to ensure everyone is following the processes required and delivering excellent results. Identify opportunities to partner with and provide guidance to regional university relations specialists globally, inclusive of sharing of best practices, guidance on hiring processes, etc. Support Campus Managers in the following areas: developing relationships at target schools, developing branding and marketing strategies to build a strong brand at target schools, assessing talent, philanthropic giving, conversion of interns/co-ops and activities associated with 2nd rounds Manage key external vendors and partners that support Eaton on campus and at diversity events Oversee all activities associated with Eaton’s participation at key national and regional diversity events while partnering with I&D organization Manage UR budget and profit plan Manage the analytics strategy for measuring University relations success, including but not limited to cost per hire, candidate quality, campus relationship health, etc. When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution Minimum five (5) years’ experience in campus management, talent acquisition, and/or human resources Minimum one (1) year of manager of people experience Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree from accredited institution Position Success Criteria: Excellent professional presence and communication skills Understanding of change management and ability to tailor communication approach by audience Demonstrated experience developing business partnerships with cross-functional leadership to achieve results Strong project management skills demonstrated large, cross group project and program management skills Demonstrated experience managing and developing people and coaching and influencing managers Experience presenting to senior leadership Experience in collaborating with leaders Strong analytical skills, including experience developing and using metrics for analysis, strong Excel skills Continuous/process improvement experience and mindset, digital mindset We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
