Job Description

Reporting to the Operations Development Manager and Operations Planning Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for carrying out the pre-opening preparation of Water World Ocean Park. He/she will be required to frequently work at Water World construction site to follow up on project progress. Besides, he/she will support the team’s mass recruitment planning, as well as the development of operating and contingency procedures for all aquatic attractions.

Upon Water World opens, he/she will serve as manager-on-duty of the department in ensuring smooth daily operation. In addition, he/she will:- 

  • recruit, train, develop and supervise staff with the highest safety, service, show and efficiency standards
  • develop strategies to motivate staff in maintaining the highest level of safety standard as well as delivering exceptional guest services
  • lead the planning, establishment and implementation of safety and service audit systems
  • lead, plan, conduct and participate in all necessary qualification trainings
  • review and refine all operating and contingency procedures
  • assist in preparing, forecasting and monitoring expenses budget according to areas of responsibility

 

Requirements:-

  • Diploma or above, preferably in Hospitality or related fields  
  • With at least 6 years’ operational experience in service/aquatic recreation field, of which 3 years must be in managerial/supervisory capacity
  • Preferably holder of valid Pool Lifeguard Award (or above) issued by the Hong Kong Life Saving Society
  • Preferably holder of Pool Lifeguard Instructor and/or Aquatic First Aid Instructor qualification(s) issued by the Hong Kong Life Saving Society
  • Good planning and supervisory skills
  • Responsible, pleasant, customer-oriented with good communication skills
  • Independent and able to work under pressure
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, including Putonghua
  • Computer literacy in MS Office and Chinese word processing
  • Willing to work outdoor, on shifts, and during weekends and public holidays

 

Candidates with lower academic qualifications and/or less work experience will be considered as Supervisor
