Your Roles and Tasks
As a market leader in the trucks and buses industry we are not only pushing the limits of technology further, but also establish a even more customer orientated function approach with clear system responsibilities within the organization. To enhance our team "Systems & Concepts" we search for an ePowertrain System manager who is willing to take responsibility to design ePowertrain systems through requirements for our electric trucks and buses in Asia.
Your tasks and responsibilities would be the following:
- Define and develop together with the team and the line finctions the ePowertrain systems, the energy management system and HV safety system.
- Define concepts together in close alignment with all relevant the line functions by leading an interdisciplinary team
- Discuss vehicle targets relevant for the entire ePowertrain System (ePowertrain, Energy, Battery, Charging)
- Coodinate definition of requirement for ePowertrain Systems Target Set
- Define with the team the general system engineering process by considering the requested deliverable of the project and the line functions.
- Write with the team the ePowertrain System Specification and define all necessary documentation for all relevant system of the team.
- Brake down ePowertrain System Targets to Sub-System/Components in the ePowertrain System (e.g. ePowertrain, energy Management, Battery, Charging) and align with relevant system/component responsible person
- Coordinate and manage potential target adjustment during development process for local markets with global development team
- As a System Responsible Person: adjust/optimize existing Energy Management System (e.g. range calculation, consumption calculation, electric power distribution in HV board net, etc.) within the vehicle for new projects
- Analyze real life data of current series product in Light Duty Segment for optimization of energy management functions
- Align changes with relevant stakeholders within the project
- Write clear requirement set for all system relevant components/systems
- Perform Functional Safety System design for energy management as a safety engineer based on ISO26262 processes
- Track target achievement together in alignment with the validation and line function colleagues in the team
- Lead and manage a team of 5 people including development and team built up to the target head count.
