Job Overview:
Manages and leads the Measurement House and the complete Measurement Team; including calibrations as well as failure analysis and E/E launch support for all shops and components as well as the complete vehicle. Conducts and performs Q-Releases as well as Connectivity Releases. Maintains process and customer-oriented quality of the vehicles through prevention and controls in line with defined quality objectives by VAN.
Responsibilities:
- Manage measurement audits and failure analyses on the product to support the produced quality, evaluates effectiveness of quality measures and recommends changes of test methods.
- Designs remedial measures, initiates corrective action (PLP) and monitors its implementation
- versus the execution on flawed vehicles from internal and external sensors, the creation of analytic reports and presentation to clients
- Performs testing of emergency and series measures and provides analytical support for the evaluation of technical changes and new type projects, prioritizes and oversees process complaints and cause investigations internally, problem solving in cooperation with shimming Team.
- Ensures compliance with relevant regulations, directives, and work agreements
- Assist with implementing a strategy for the overarching organizational unit.
- Informing subordinated employees about the relevant provisions and instructing them to comply with the provisions.
- Will perform other duties as assigned.
- Participates in regularly scheduled team meetings.
- Responsible for all new product launches and releases, planning and organization of R&D-/Q-Release in Charleston (VS20/VS30)
- Drives the problem solving for product related topics in the plant. Coordination and Prioritization of the topics found in various sens ors.
