Requirements:  

Qualifications

• Native or highly skilled English speaker

• Experience in educational setting desirable 

• Excellent decision-making, logistical and organizational skills

• Willingness to work long hours and weekends when needed

• A history of managing budgets, inventory, logistics, and resources

• A history of working effectively in a team setting meeting programmatic goals

Characteristics

• Team player who works well with diverse people

• Leadership ability with an eye for detail and safety

• Excellent decision-making, logistical and organizational skills

• Flexiblity in regards to working conditions and hours

Skills

• Safe navigation and operation of the yacht 

• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills

• Proficiency developing lesson plans and curriculum desirable

• Ability to train other staff

Experience

• Experience working with youth in educational programs is essential

• Experience managing budgets, inventory, logistics and resources

• Knowledge of maintenance and repair of classic wooden yachts

• Logged experience as a skipper on a vessel of similar size and characteristics

• Have a Hong Kong Grade I or II Pleasure Vessel Local Certificate of Competency or be willing to earn one.

• External qualifications from either the USCG or RYA are desirable.

• Three or more years in command of a similar vessel.
