VDash is a digital venture providing visa concierge services to business travellers, set up in partnership with VFS Global and BCG Digital Ventures, based out in Marylebone, London. VDash creates a trusted, seamless and user centred visa application process for all customers through a novel digital interface paired with on-the-ground expertise.
Historically a time consuming and laborious activity, VDash streamlines the visa application with a one-stop solution that allows customers to manage and process all visa applications on one integrated platform. Currently with main operations in UK and ongoing set up in UAE and India, it is gearing towards global expansion.
VFS Global is the world's largest Outsourcing & Technology Service Specialists for Diplomatic Missions and Governments Worldwide. Today, VFS Global serves the interests of Diplomatic Missions of 55 Client Governments and operates over 2329 Visa Application Centres in 129 countries worldwide and has processed over 145 million visa applications since its inception in 2001.
About the role
To drive further growth of this venture, we are seeking a high calibre Managing Director to set and drive the strategy and overall expansion, direct the functional leadership team and oversee all business activities.
The Managing Director will be responsible for scaling VDash and providing the overall direction to the business and will responsible for but not limited to:
Leadership
- Lead with a strategic mindset while dealing with ambiguity and develop, nurture and realize business opportunities
- Deliver strategic leadership for defining the commercial path to growth and profitability of the company and the establishment of an effective growth process and infrastructure
- Working closely with the team to set and drive the overall strategy including long-term goals and strategies
- Drive growth, profitability, and company value.
- Manage competition and threats in the marketplace, with constant evaluation of financial structure, capital strategy & strategic priorities
Execute with Excellence
- Drive day to day operations with a focus on Sales and Business Development activities.
- Continue to develop the business model ahead of the market
- Proactively mitigate business, operational & governance risks
- Align resources to achieve key business priorities
Build great teams
- Attract, retain & develop world-class talent
- Cultivate a high-performing, agile, one-team culture
Background:
- Proven track record in leading and scaling at least one high growth start-up in the role of CEO or General Manager
- Experience in building successful digital products and high calibre, multi disciplinary teams from the ground up
- Demonstrable experience of B2B sales/business development, especially with technology solutions, for instance for HR or Finance solutions
- Experience in multi-channel, digital lead generation
- Experience in managing corporate partner relationships
- Tech/Digital/Start Up and Agile background preferred
- Experience in travel and tourism industry would be a plus
Location: London, with travel to United Arab Emirates and India, and further markets at a later stage.
