Role purpose 

Chief Editor will lead a small team of editors to ensure all products on ITeshop.com are described in an accurate manner, in clear and concise English and represent the brand’s ethos. This role involves proofing all information which appears on the product pages with high level of accuracy.

Accountabilities – Key Result Areas 

• Oversee the content on ITeshop are working to tight deadlines to ensure all product descriptions are well-written in a concise, accurate and informative manner, showcasing all relevant key details
• Subbing description details, checking accuracy of copy against images as well as grammar, spelling etc.
• Ensuring that all editorial content across product pages reflects the aims, values and maintain brand image
• Check accuracy of upload by checking all click-through functionality, size and fit tabs and dropdowns on the product page
• Conduct regular audits of the site to check for consistency and accuracy
• Working with Ecommerce team and BU to coordinate the subbing team’s daily output across all Group brands
• Liaise with Product Editorial Translations to schedule site audits in advance

Experience / Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, English, Fashion Studies or related subject
• Minimum 5 years of editorial experience in Fashion industry or proofreader in an editorial or e-commerce environment
• Sound knowledge of fashion, designers and trends
• Outstanding task management skills and able manage a high volume of work at a fast pace with high accuracy
• Good communication skills, with the ability to work within a team environment
• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work well within a large team
• Proficient in written and spoken Chinese and English, naïve English speaker would be a plus
