Job Description
Development and implementation of data connectivity and systems to support improved information visibility and ongoing acquisition in manufacturing operations
Supporting the simplification and automation of data based processes to improve production scheduling, order tracking, production performance data capture and dashboarding
Ongoing communications and collaboration with IT and operations resources, working across functions and sites
Improvement and troubleshooting of existing and new manufacturing and warehouse processes
Technology scouting and developments with suppliers and 3rd parties
Ability to develop and lead complex initiatives with limited direct supervision
Ensuring compliance with all health, safety and security policies and procedures
Qualifications
BS in electronics, software development, or automation engineering - or equivalent training, work experience with demonstrated technical expertise applicable to role description and responsibilities
Minimum of 3 years experience working in a manufacturing environment
Experience and demonstrated success in the development and implementation of process improvements in manufacturing process and associated information systems
Technical expertise for manufacturing technologies, process automation, information systems, software and controls
Experience working with PLCs, IoT/edge devices, and on-premises data migration to the cloud
Manufacturing engineering fundamentals
Software development expertise and architecture design for data systems using IoT and cloud-based protocols
Manufacturing information systems and basic machine controls expertise
Effective written and verbal communication skills, including Chinese and English
Project management skills
Effective interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others
Ability to work on multiple tasks and maintaining focus to guided priorities
