Eaton at CPD PCD Division is currently seeking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Haina, Dominican Republic facility. This role is responsible for: Design and implement processes that can achieve the required levels of quality, customer service and manufacturing, providing technical support to maintain and improve the efficiency/productivity. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Provide resources and continuous improvements to manufacturing processes. Correct and prevent manufacturing problems related to the process and productivity. Follow up, improve and monitor metrics or capacity measures, such as Yield, Productivity, Efficiency. Monitor and control flow of production processes through the development and implementation of the BS tools. Determine the man-load for the manufacturing lines and provide the equipment, machine and tools required on demand. Design the manufacturing systems Lay-Out. Develop and implement programs to reduce costs and increase productivity. Monitor and implement quality standards based on ISO9001 to ensure adherance to requirements Analize and evaluate capital cost metrics. Provide training and coordination to the engineering assistants/Coop assigned to the manufacturing lines. Design manufacturing instruction and develop new process in order to facilitate the work flow and support the goals achievement. Perform an active participation in the Departmental Teams. Support the introduction of new production lines/products. Complete all required documents based on Prolaunch requirements. Develop capital projects appropiations. Update PFMEA tools and Control Plans with unusual conditions of the production process, as specified by the QS. Maintain monthly updated of VSM, Standard Work and Error Proofing tools and other documentations requiered by our system of BS. Follow up the Implementation of ECN’S (Engineering Change Notice) aplicable to their areas. 2.1 - Responsibilities related to Health, Safety and Environment (EHS): Execute 100% of monthly safety inspection, in coordination with MESH Coordinator. Assist to all EHS training assigned. Close the 80% of actions request for safety in their areas. #LI-SL4 Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Electromechanical or Electrical Engineer or similar fields. Experience of 1-3 years in similar positions. Full Bilingual (English / Spanish) PC knowledge: Auto Cad, Minitab and Microsoft Office Knowledge of Design Interpretation Knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control), Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and ISO9001. Knowledge of project management and problem solving techniques.
