Eaton’s Commercial Residential Distribution Solutions division is currently seeking a 2nd Shift Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Lincoln, IL facility. Relocation assistance is provided. Position Overview: This position is responsible for managing department(s) of employees in the assembly or fabrication of products for Eaton customers. The primary objectives will be to achieve results on the High 5 metrics (safety, quality, on-time-delivery, inventory, productivity), drive employee engagement, and develop the team to continuously improve. In this function you will: Direct and manages production activities involved in the assembly or fabrication of final products. Maintains production schedules at the most economical cost, keeping quality at a high standard. Drive accountability in the production area while influencing your team to achieve defined metrics and goals. Plan and organizes material flow through processes for effective and efficient utilization of machinery and employees. Assist in the selection, training and development of production personnel and participates in their performance evaluation and development. Addresses areas of concern with employees to promote excellent performance. Complete all daily reports, for payroll and production reporting purposes. Monitors inventory and scrap in the department. Maintain safe working conditions and assures that all safety rules and OSHA regulations are enforced. Keep all activities within company policies and in line with union contract. Work with employees, employee teams and co-workers on all process improvement, safety improvement and cost Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering field from an accredited institution with graduation date set no later than May, 2023 Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future Relocation assistance will be provided for candidates residing outside of a 50-mile radius of Lincoln, IL Preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma Knowledge with pc, software and fabrication and/or assembly processes We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
