Eaton’s Electrical Division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Washington, PA. Relocation assistance is available. Position Overview: Eaton's Crouse Hinds, B-Line, Oil & Gas Group has an exciting opportunity for Manufacturing Engineer at our Washington, PA manufacturing plant. The primary responsibilities of this role include the design, specification, and implementation of safe and efficient manufacturing processes, including machine guarding and controls, tooling, fixtures, gauges, and process documentation. Includes collection and analysis of manufacturing data to implement process improvements that improve safety, production quality, customer deliver, and cost reductions. Provide support to day-to-day manufacturing operations All manufacturing processes need to meet the environmental, health, and safety compliance requirements for the facility and maintain compliance with Eaton’s MESH requirements. This position will report directly to the Operational Excellence Manager. Eaton's Crouse-Hinds Business manufactures over 100,000 products for NEC and IEC applications, including: conduit fittings and cable glands, industrial control and electrical apparatus, enclosures, industrial luminaires (including LED), plugs and receptacles, drilling and marine products, commercial construction, and solar solutions. Washington, PA is the home of the Eaton Crouse-Hinds commercial outlet box facility which manufactures steel boxes, covers, and prefabricated electrical assemblies. In this function you will: Design processes that ensure compliance with MESH (Eaton’s Environmental, Health, Safety process) and other Eaton and industry standard practices Drive facility capability and capacity improvement through Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and other processes to support efficiency improvement and sales growth. Support and execute capital plan to support capability, capacity, and efficiency to develop new key plant processes in support of sales growth and product line expansion Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs, reviewing production schedules and requirements, estimating future requirements Work directly with direct manufacturing labor to troubleshoot and improve processes, including fabrication, assembly, measuring, and testing of products produced. Manage activities and budgets for manufacturing and process improvement projects, including the development of the project management requirements and all implementation documentation. Develop and implementing cost reduction initiatives utilizing continuous improvement framework Collect and analyze manufacturing data and metrics to aid in design and improvement of processes. Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety responsibilities by following established MESH policies, procedures, trainings, and team member involvement activities Proactively implement, promote, and maintain a safe working environment, through diligence in accident prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance, corrective action implementation and Zero Incident culture enforcement. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution Minimum 1 year of experience (may include co-op or internship) in a technical role supporting manufacturing operations Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution 3+ years of experience in a technical role supporting manufacturing operations Experience with lean manufacturing, TPM, and/or RCM principles Experience with PLC programing, control panel/electrical and mechanical power press and stamping knowledge Position Criteria: Detail-oriented High level of integrity High degree of mechanical aptitude Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to handle multiple priorities against multiple deadlines Demonstrated ability and desire to progress to more senior levels of the Human Resources function #LI-AH2 Eaton considers qualified applicants regardless of criminal histories, consistent with local laws.
