Title: Manufacturing Engineer Location: Camarillo, CA Type: Full time Eaton’s Aerospace Group, is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Camarillo, CA location. Relocation is available for a qualified candidate currently residing in the USA. This position requires working on-site M-F at our Camarillo facility. Remote work is not an option. Position Overview: This role will originally start working at our Paso Robles, CA facility. This vital project (2-4 months) will entail transferring our existing "Air dry" mfg product line brand from Paso Robles to our newer facility at Camarillo CA. The role will then remain permanently at our Camarillo, CA advanced facility as a vital part of our Sr Manufacturing team. The role will support Eaton's Air Dry product line including air and gas dehydration and purification systems and associated air handling components such as high-pressure air reducing manifolds, dew point monitors, and gauge valves. Air Dry is a Total Service Organization serving defense and industry worldwide. Air Dry furnishes high and low pressure dehydration systems for virtually all the shipbuilding programs of the United States Navy, including the Trident strategic missile submarines, the Los Angeles class attack submarines, the Nimitz class aircraft carriers, the Arleigh Burke class guided missile destroyer, and a Perry class guided missile frigates. Job Summary Provides engineering and technical support to meet AirDry systems. Policy Deployment measurements of Quality, Delivery, Cost and Safety. Trains/leads production teams. Initiates and assists in the design of tooling required for production. Interfaces with Design Engineering during the creation of new products to ensure design for manufacturing techniques are utilized. Performs closed loop Cost Estimate for new and existing hardware. Participates in make/buy decisions. Interfaces with Methods Engineering during the creation of new travelers. Update Process Specifications are required. Participates in machine and capital equipment acquisition. Acquires knowledge of contemporary manufacturing technology developments and applications. Assists Purchasing with supplier selection, surveys, technical assistance, and evaluation of received bids. Serves as Liaison between Fabrications, Assembly and Engineering functions. Qualifications BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering accredited institution. • Min 1 to 3 years in a manufacturing role. Recent Engineering graduates with applicable internship experience will be credited towards experience. • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: •3D modelling preferably SolidWorks •Working knowledge of blueprints. •Previous experience working within Aerospace sector. • Strong internal (within business) and external (customers, vendors, etc) communication skills. Proficiency with MS Office.
