Your role
Lead all Manufacturing Engineering processes including process development and yield improvement projects in high power laser manufacturing.
Providing leadership, technical knowledge and people management skills to a team of Production Engineers to implement and manage continuous improvement principals by identifying deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processes.
improve quality standards in regard to product, process, and quality, and ensuring all necessary requirements are being met by the Manufacturing and Engineering departments.
Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice production Engineering, planning, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
Drive, implement and maintain production systems to deliver product, quality and to cost
Drive continuous improvement activities, in quality, cycle times, process improvements, machine availability, and reduction in downtime.
Ensure robust and comprehensive technical solution are being applied
Develop and Maintain project plans to ensure milestones are being met
Analyze material usage, downtime and performance across all areas.
Ensure accuracy of Manufacturing Engineering procedures and documentation
Develop, implement and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area.
Motivate and support the team to operational success
Demonstrate and lead open and strong communications within all areas of responsibility
Your profile
Master degree
Electrical engineering, optoelectronic engineering or related
5 or more years of relevant work experience in volume production of lasers/laser components, minimum 2 years in a engineering role
Solid and demonstrable understanding of laser, especially high power laser Manufacturing processes as well as Engineering information
Strong and demonstrable understanding of lean principles
Knowledge of PFMEA, Lean or Six sigma tools and techniques
Experience of working with Manufacturing systems such as MES, MRP with strong understanding of its importance in the business
Ability to plan Manufacturing operations well and prioritize activities
Proficient in MS Office (Word, PPT, Excel) and ideally SAP R/3
Fluent Chinese and English
Demonstrated strong organizational skills and the ability to lead and to gain the respect of other employees
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong Analytical skills and the ability to present data effectively
Well organized and able to work to deadlines is able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Sets good example of commitment and loyalty
Observe the regulations on the Employee’s Handbook and Code of Conduct and other guidelines of TRUMPF China
