Job Description
Eaton at Haina, DR location is currently seeking for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager (Section) to join our team. This role has the following responsibilities: Job Summary Responsible for Engineering Manufacturing process to ensure process capacity, efficiency, flexibility, productivity and capability to meet financial targets and customer expectations. Drives continuous improvement and safety programs through team, cross functional leaders and factory indirect support personal. Job Responsibilities Lead Manufacturing process changes and requirements defined by Customers, Quality, Safety as needed. Responsible to build, lead and execute capital investment plan based, on operations strategy and profit plan. Responsible to supervise manufacturing engineers, assistants and technicians. Responsible for plant process Yield improvement, data management. Responsible to define and calculate manufacturing capacity based on demand (Manload) in a regular basis ensuring flexibility and efficiency of the operations. Learn and incorporates new manufacturing technologies and practices Responsible to create, define and update process standard work documentation, procedures and job safety analysis Leads and promotes manufacturing process in alignment with safety, ergonomics and sustainability programs. Responsible for existing product and/or process transfers. Supports new product introduction and industrialization Pro-Launch NPI Supports process documentation update, training and implementation of controls as a result of pFMEAs, PPAPs, Process capability studies, Control Plan, Work Instructions, Quality, Safety, Customer request. Design and develops plant manufacturing layout distribution and floor space optimization. Responsible for product labor content calculation (routing) update and configuration in the system. Leads Kaizens, Projects and Rapid Improvement Events (RIE) to improve productivity and operations cost savings. #LI-AR7 Qualifications Qualifications Bachelor degree in Industrial, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering or related fields. Preferred: Additional studies and/or master-post grade degree in related areas. 7 years minimum of experience working in manufacturing activities, product-process industrialization. Fully Bilingual: written and oral fluency in Spanish & English. Technical Knowledge: 6 Sigma / DMAIC / Problem solving Quality Auditor ISO 9001 CAD- Solid Works Statistics proficiency: MSA, GR&R, SPC, Capability (Minitab) Project Management Safety practices/standards: machine guarding, ergonomics Eaton is an intelligent power management company dedicated to improving the quality of life and protecting the environment for people everywhere.
