Eaton’s CRDS Division is currently seeking for a Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor to join our team. This position is located at Haina, Dominican Republic. PRIMARY FUNCTION Provide overall leadership and direction to run the welding and related operations at Plant. Define and lead projects to improve process, products and components. Define and lead process improvement projects to support plant’s indicators,(UL-Holds, Set up time, Fill Rate, On-Time Performance, Load Performance, Safety, Productivity, Yield and Scrap). ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Responsible for daily set-up execution and required tooling. 2. Responsible to coordinate machine maintenance activities, manage preventive maintenance though Faciliworks. 3. Implement and use TPM/SUR Lean tools. 4. Actively participation in the Departmental team actions and meetings 5. Monitors and validate process and fixtures through Cp & Cpk in order to maintain sub-sequence manufacturing process with thermal yield within specifications. 6. Validate and control scrap caused by processes and destructive tests. 7. Evaluate production capacity and flexibility to run multiple styles. Manload requirements. 8. Monitor all set-up functions to comply with electrical safety, machine guarding, hot work and any other safety procedure applicable (such Omron, ENHESA, NFPA, OSHA and others). 9. Develop and design welder operations & tooling for new product introduction and/or changes.(Pro-launch Projects). 10. Active participation to troubleshoot and implement actions to eliminate holds related to welded assemblies. (UL, 3rd party or internal) 11. Develop business cases to acquire new equipment (capital appropriations) based on demand needs and new technology introduction. 12. Lead Cost Out initiatives and contribute in the total plant savings. #LI-MM3 Qualifications SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE *Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related fields *5 - 7 years of experience working in manfuacturing environment *Lean-Continuous Improvement *6 Sigma: prefer Greenbelt certified *Internal Auditor ISO9001 *CAD- Solid Works *Statistics proficiency: SPC, Capability (Minitab) *Project Management*Safety practices/standards: machine guarding, ergonomics *Welding knowledge *Fully Bilingual: written and oral fluency in Spanish & English.
