We are hiring a new manager within the DSEA Team in MIT Applications Hub in Kulim, as our team is growing, to support Intel's IDM 2.2 strategy. As a manager, you will manage a team of 8 to 12 IT Application Engineers and student interns located in Kulim site. You will work with the Applications Hub Staff to set priorities for the GAR DSS team, drive results across the cross-functional Automation teams, ensure an inclusive work environment, develop employees, and manage performance. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the below:

• Supervision/management of an IT function within the Mfg. IT organization which supports Automation solutions for Intel's worldwide Factory network

• Day-to-day functional management of the organization, to include performance management, training/development, forecasting/reporting, and budgeting/expense control

• Setting future direction and plans for the team in line with the direction of the DSEA management and Applications Hub leadership.

This position requires advanced knowledge of a highly technical or professional field. The manager will apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts in operations management, software development and deployment and people management.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related Engineering discipline.

• 8+ years of experience in software development or database/server/applications support.

Preferred Qualifications: Prior management or team leadership experience is a preferred, though not required. One or more of the below would be a plus.

• Experience in a 24x7 IT environment, enabling mission-critical IT services in an enterprise level, or, software development experience in an enterprise IT organization, especially, in a team lead role.

• Windows or any Linux/Unix support skills, or scripting tools in any server environments, especially, in a team lead role.

• Oracle or Microsoft database technologies, or in developing distributed systems- Prior experience with DevOps, CI/CD or other modern software lifecycle processes/tools, especially, in a team lead role.

Intel's Information Technology Group (IT) designs, deploys and supports the information technology architecture and hardware/software applications for Intel. This includes the LAN, WAN, telephony, data centers, client PCs, backup and restore, and enterprise applications. IT is also responsible for e-Commerce development, data hosting and delivery of Web content and services.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
