Job Description
Eaton’s Haina DR is currently seeking for a Manufacturing Section Manager to join our team. PRIMARY FUNCTION: Directs key manufacturing processes through supervisors to insure production objectives met consistently with overall quality requirements. Participate as a key member of plant manager's staff in all critical decisions impacting facility. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assures production objectives are met within approved budget, schedules and quality specifications. Ensure compliance with standards provided to the manufacturing areas. Effective management of plant resources Actively collaborate with Plant’s profit plan goals Champion High Performance Work Teams (HPWTs) framework Drive continuous improvement and application through the use of EBS tools. Works in collaboration with service departments to communicate effectively and efficient and problem prevention and solving Collaborate actively in achieving key performance metrics including TRCR, Productivity, On-Time Delivery, First Pass Yield and DPPM. Champion and promotes implementation of MESH to achieve improvement in year over year safety performance measures and cultural change. Train and develop team members Actively engage and enable success of employees (providing resources and removing barriers). Responsibilities related to Health, Safety and Environment (EHS) Execute 100% of monthly safety inspection, in coordination with the MESH Coordinator. Assist to all EHS training assigned. Promote and promulgate all MESH. Process and Policies to all the employees in Plant, and ensure that they are being performed at the plant. Provide all resources needed to ensure that all MESH policies and procedures all performed by his/her personal under his/her supervision #LI-MM3 Qualifications SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineer, Electronic or Electronic - Mechanical Preferable Master degree in Production, Engineering, administration or other science. Minimum 7 years of experience in manufacturing lines. Preferable 5 years of experience as a Manufacturing Section Manager. Supervisor Experience (Skill, Semi-Skill and None Skill employees). Full Bilingual (English / Spanish) Knowledge in: Eaton Business System-EBS (Preferable) Lean/ELSS, 6 Sigma ISO9000, Quality System/EQS Safety practices/MESH Process Controls Production Standards Cost of Quality Competencies: Thinks and Acts Strategically, Gets Results, Builds Organizational Capability, Demonstrates Leadership Style. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Managerial / Supervisory Responsibilities: For the positions that report to you, give a brief description of each (e.g., job titles, specific functions, key dimensions, etc.). Manager-Production: Direct and coordinate with Manufacturing Supervisors in order to obtain daily production requirements in an effective and efficient manner. Supervisor Production (2nd. Shift Superintendent): Conduct all production activities for the 2nd. Shift and supervisor all indirect personnel. Supervisor Production: Conduct all production activities for specific lines. Show the total number of employees that you supervise (directly or indirectly). Guidance Received: Indicate what type of guidance your position normally receives (i.e., to what extent it is guided by policies or procedures, in which areas is it the final decision-making authority, what situations would normally be referred to the next level supervisor, how frequently work is reviewed, etc.).
