Your primary focus is reducing waste, cost and inefficiencies, while creating standards, increasing value and employee engagement. The main function of this role is to ensure efficient manufacturing process solutions are set up and maintained within our final assembly, manual soldering, and SMT area, and lead on all operational deliverables for all new product launches (NPI). Project Manage products through the Eaton PROLaunch process, ensuring deadlines are achieved. Additional responsibility includes support production team with process improvements & troubleshooting, continuous improvement activities (kaizen events, use of six sigma tools, 5S etc.), developing and maintaining robust manufacturing processes and leading the lean transformation across the organization. Your main responsibilities: • Safety responsibilities include safety and housekeeping objectives; follow all safety rules and procedures and report unsafe conditions to line management. • Continually review current manufacturing processes to eliminate further waste. Support Lean, Six Sigma, and Pro Launch through the creation of Process Maps, Standard Work, Takt Times, Potential Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Design of Experiments, Control Plans, and Job Safety Analysis for production lines. • Identifies and resolves opportunities, gathers and analyses information, develops and implements actions plans to improve efficiency and reduce cost. • Compile complete cost analyses for a product line or section based on extension of hourly rates, burden and material costs. This includes specifications for such items as layouts, tooling, machine tools, and material. • Take necessary measures to improve the quality of product and information in the respective area of responsibility. Lead corrective/preventive actions on her/his areas of responsibility. • Support EQS initiative by revision and compliance of policies with stress on follow up of FMEA and Control plans. • Responsible for completing all NPI operations deliverables on time, Develops and coordinates project plans. Communicates changes and progress status. Completes projects on time and within budget. Ensure accurate actions plans and deadlines are clear, visible and completed on time with minimal delay. • Liaise with NPI team to support and delegate tasks where deemed required. • Collaborate and coordinating with all departments to ensure adherence to NPI project plan. • Drive planning and problem-solving culture within Manufacturing Engineering team. • Project Manage multiple new products projects through the design and ramp up phase through to mass manufacturing. Qualifications Qualifications • Degree level or equivalent desired. • 3 years’ experience within manufacturing or engineering. • Having experience on PROLaunch, Project Management, Lean, Organisation, PFMEA & Risk Management, Productivity & Yield • Strong communication, Delegation, Influencing skills, heaving Leadership, Time Management, Collaboration, Goal Setting skills are expected.
