We are looking for Manufacturing Process Engineer (junior to senior) to join our Advanced Optics Team. Working on Microsoft HoloLens you will be part of an organization which consists of professionals from the fields of optics, micro- and nanofabrication process technologies and mechanical engineering.
In this role you will be part of a team developing and improving manufacturing processes in micro- and nanofabrication field. You will work on such areas as cycle time and yield improvement, quality improvement, methods designing and you will be developing tools, processes and technologies to improve manufacturing key metrics. Your background in process development and manufacturing, with hands-on experience on micro- and nanofabrication methods as well as your desire for continuous improvement, learning and working in high-tech field will enable you to adopt our innovative manufacturing methods and help you to have an impact as we are engineering the future.
With your open and determined attitude you will collaborate closely and efficiently with other experts within Microsoft and its supplier network. An innovative and pragmatic approach coupled with strong time and resource management skills will enable you to succeed in this cutting-edge technology environment.
Responsibilities
· Improvement of existing micro- and nanofabrication processes, including but not limited to MEMS manufacturing
· Data analysis, interpretation of process and test data to drive continuous improvement
· Technical feasibility studies
· Close collaboration with internal team members
· Supplier management related to tool, material and process development
· Communication of results
Qualifications
· Basic understanding and hands-on knowledge of typical micro- and nanofabrication fabrication processes, such as lithography, deposition and etch processes and associated metrologies
· Hands-on attitude with the ability to use structured problem-solving techniques to drive rapid issue closure
· Self-motivated to take personal ownership and deliver results while working in a highly challenging environment
· Growth mindset
· Excellent oral & written communication & teamwork skills in English
· Minimum 3-5 years of experience in working in process development in manufacturing
· Capability and willingness for occasional international travel
· Academic degree with background in Engineering, Optical Sciences, Physics, or related Engineering field
