Job Summary

Amgen Singapore Manufacturing is looking for energetic candidates to fill Manufacturing Process Technician (MPT) positions in Amgen’s biologics manufacturing facility in Tuas, Singapore. Upon the completion of a 3-week structured training and on-boarding the staff will be deployed at the Amgen’s state-of-the-art next-generation bio-processing facility to produce medicines for patient around the world. With the deployment the MPT will continue to be exposed to next-generation single-use technology to prepare itself for becoming a high skilled and qualified professional.

In the fully commercialized facility the MA shall work on a rotating shift basis and be part of the team to operate at the Solution Preparation function.  Routinely the MPT will be responsible for equipment readiness/setup, manufacturing processing, analytical testing and documentation, in accordance to standard operating procedures and specifications.

As part of the drive for an agile and flexible workforce MPT might be deployed to other manufacturing functions (Cell Culture and Purification) and to be cross-trained and qualified.

 Responsibilities

•Perform solution and equipment preparation (eg solution mixer and storage bag)

•Perform Weigh & Dispensing operations

•Operate Autoclave and Part Washer equipment

•Perform routine process monitoring, sampling and testing

•Prepare and operate analytical equipment

•Operate auxiliary equipment (eg pumps, sterile tube welders, aseptic connectors) to facilitate solution transfer

•Documentation of all manufacturing related information, data and results

Basic Qualifications

• NTC/ITC/Diploma in Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences or Bio-processing related disciplines

Experience / Requirement

•Working experience in clean room environment will be preferred

•Possess minimum 0 - 2 years of relevant experience in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical or petrochemical industry. Fresh ITE / Diploma graduates will be considered.

•Knowledge of plant and unit operations (autoclave, parts washers, process equipment), will be an added advantage

•Excellent self-motivated team player with hands-on attitude and good communication skills

•Experience with Emerson DeltaV, LIMS, TrackWise will be an added advantage

•Ability and willingness to work in a rotating 12-hr shift pattern
