Position Overview: Eaton’s Industrial Sector - Filtration Division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Programs Manager to join our team. This position is based in our Chanhassen, MN facility. Reporting to the VP Filtration Division, the Manufacturing Programs Manager is responsible for developing and deploying the manufacturing strategy for the Division including execution of the global manufacturing footprint. The Filtration Division consists of 8 manufacturing facilities globally (4 in EMEA, 2 in NAFTA, 2 in APAC) as well as office locations. In this position, the incumbent will work closely with Filtration facilities globally and will coordinate activities with the division functional leaders and plant managers. Essential Responsibilities: Lead all product line moves, facility improvements and construction Manage make vs buy assessments, localization strategies and manufacturing footprint decisions Lead the deployment of digital manufacturing tools and concepts to enhance and promote World Class Manufacturing capability Lead the standardization of manufacturing, assembly and test processes as well as the standardization of the corresponding equipment Lead the development of a capital strategy in support of the manufacturing strategy and manage the capital appropriation process for the business Collaborate with division functional leaders, plant managers, corporate resources, and external consultants as needed to achieve objectives in a timely and high-quality manner Lead the sharing of best practices: manufacturing processes, equipment and tooling Champion and drive the use of effective project management processes and the Eaton Business System Position Criteria: Knowledge of manufacturing technologies and continuous improvement methods, approaches and tools, including strategic management and project management Ability to drive results in the areas of productivity, asset management, and continuous improvement Ability to work in a matrix environment, get results and drive change through others. Effective oral and written communication skills as well as planning and organizational skills. Ability to manage by influence through solid relationships and process focus. Project management skills Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Ten (10) years of combined experience in manufacturing, engineering or manufacturing engineering Prior work leading and influencing teams Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship Preferred Qualifications: Three (3) years of experience in a role with multi-site responsibility Six Sigma Certification or equivalent Project management certification Work experience on the related areas of EHS, Quality and Lean as it relates to manufacturing processes and equipment Prior experience in the selection and acquisition of capital equipment Experience using a continuous improvement framework or lean methodology Education: An undergraduate degree from an accredited institution is required.
