The successful candidate will be part of a team of ATM manufacturing technologists in the Central ATM NPI group with the mission to realize the concept of "Design for Manufacturability", or DFM. He/she will work with ATM factory and ATTD partners to develop standard methods, tools and enterprise automation solutions to shift ATM from a manual based production execution approach to one that is scientific and systems based, with extensive use of data analytics and lean thinking. This role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing industry drivers and emerging standards, such as Industry 4.0, and identify opportunities for alignment and adoption. The candidate will interface with factory customers (specifically the Operations Management Team, or OMT,) to assess current state across all business segments, establish strategic areas of focus and develop an integrated plan to bring ATM factories to the next level of operational efficiency. This plan must be integrated with NPI product roadmaps with the right intercept points. This job is performed with a hands-on approach with time spent in the factory as well as outside the factory.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
� Must have a Bachelor, or MS in Engineering or Chemistry/Physics and at least 10 years Assembly & Test or semiconductor processing experience.
� Must have demonstrated track-record of proficiency in working in a high-performing team culture which includes: excellent teamwork and leadership skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated problem solving and the ability to prioritize work in an ambiguous environment.
� Factory Engineering (module, product, process or yield) experience required.
� Candidate must have ability to spend ~20-25% of their time supporting customers from other geographic locations (VF and TMG partners)
Preferred Qualifications:
� Experience with writing scripts for data extraction and analysis (SQL, perl, JSL, python, etc.).
� Strong understanding and familiarity with databases (i.e. SQL.) and be able to extract, manipulate and analyze data efficiently
� Able to devise standard and sustainable solutions that are directly aligned to the customer's needs and ensure information is generated correctly based on World-Class Sustaining excellence principles.
� Candidates demonstrates effective problem solving first and data script writing second. Must be seen as a technical expert who is results and process/systems oriented, has proven ability for critical thinking and second order questions that lead to impactful solutions.
� Ability to understand how to effectively communicate data at multiple levels of development from new hire to senior managers, while deeply appreciating the tactical conditions facing their customers.
� Must be seen as a technical expert and have proven ability for critical thinking and second order questions that lead to impactful solutions.
� Ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders. Lead and influence change across multiple departments.
